Proposal
Application to vary Condition 1 (Approved Plans) of previously approved AWDM/1999/21. Amendments: Remedial work required to solve water ingress issue, including removal of the projecting brick-clad architectural frames and associated steelwork; removal and replacement of the outer brick leaf and insulation to the principal south façades; removal of all balconies on the south façades and replacement with new self- supporting balconies on new foundations; reinstatement of windows and doors; new parapet capping where required; revised rainwater downpipes and revisions to the fourth-floor brise soleil mounting arrangements; alteration around the Monarch View House entrance to accommodate the new balcony support system, while retaining the entrance door, level threshold and accessible route. ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: Demolition of 11-27 Albion Street and redevelopment to provide a total of 55 affordable flats within two blocks of 4-6 storeys in height and the refurbishment of 7-9 Albion Street, with 31 parking spaces.
