2/2/132 G1 T001 - Corsican Pine - Despite its overall vigour, a number of structural defects were identified that increase the likelihood of branch failure. Works to be completed: Reduce the foreseeable risk of branch failure over the adjacent car parking area. It is therefore recommended that the cracked lower scaffold branch be removed in its entirety, as the observed longitudinal split indicates a progressive loss of structural integrity and an increased likelihood of partial or complete failure. T002 - Elm - Routine Management Works to be completed: Regrowth extending over the car parking area be reduced by approximately 1 m, pruning back to suitable previous reduction points where practicable. This work will maintain adequate clearance above parked vehicles, manage future canopy encroachment and reduce loading on previously pruned branch structures.

Remove deadwood. G4 Penn cricket club ground Poplar, infested with ivy which disguises the very poor condition. One side is completely dead and decayed. The base of the tree has advanced decay, therefore the only section that is alive is leaning over the private house, supported only by a rotten old stump. Dismantle crown to leave the large diameter stump as a wildlife habitat Goat Willow (also G4) Resting on the changing room roof. Has been previously cut as a pollard Re-pollard T1 - Main Sports field Sycamore in north-western corner, adjacent to the Compton Road allotments. T5201 - Oak - Reduce/pollard the crown to approx 6m, retaining the lower stem as standing deadwood habitat as appropriate - Decay at base on SE side. Sounding hammer indicated significant decay. Ganoderma bracket present, tree previously pollarded T5204 - Silver Birch - Fell tree - Tree leaning over residential garden T5205 - Oak - Reduce/pollard crown to approx 8m to reduce end-weight and loading towards the adjacent residential gardens - Cavity at 6m on west side, canopy leaning over gardens T5206 - Oak - Reduce/pollard crown to approx 8m - Crown extends over adjacent residential gardens following the failure/removal of an adjacent tree Remove several Holly trees overhanging neighbouring gardens down as close to ground level as practicably possible. H1/H2/H3 The holly trees require removal to facilitate safe and efficient implementation of the approved oak tree works and future boundary maintenance. Owing to their boundary location, retention would create ongoing management and access constraints for adjoining landowners. Their contribution to the character and appearance of the conservation area is limited, and their removal is not considered detrimental to local amenity.

06/00074/TPO, Halecroft Avenue, Wednesfield, Tree Preservation Order 1997 [02/2/445] (T1) Specification of Proposed Works Prune the protected tree to remove and/or selectively reduce only those branches that are currently overhanging and contacting, or are likely to come into contact with, the roof and guttering of the building. In addition, selectively prune branches around the overhead telephone/broadband cable supplying the cadet centre, removing only those branches that are currently contacting the cable or are sufficiently close that they are likely to interfere with, place pressure on, or damage the cable. The pruning is to be carried out sympathetically and to the minimum extent necessary to provide adequate clearance from the roof, guttering and telecommunications cable, while retaining the natural form, health and structural integrity of the tree. No unnecessary or excessive crown reduction is proposed. All arisings, branches and other tree waste generated by the works are to be removed from site on completion, leaving the area clean and tidy.
