Cutting down and removal of tree (and root base as far as practicality possible) by qualified tree surgeon who carries the necessary indemnity insurances. The tree is a Gleditsia (more a forest tree and not suitable for its position in a domestic small garden due to its future size. It is at present a small tree and capable of simple removal though still managing to cause significant structural damage to footpath etc.

The cherry tree was planted when the house was built in 1986/7 and over the years has been allowed to outgrow the small patio garden to a point where it is now putting our neighbours garden to the north in partial shade. We would like to remove the tree and replace it with something more appropriate for the size of the garden.

Reduce back western side of the crown by approx 1.5m to suitable growth points. This will allow more room for the beech tree below to grow up, as this is starting to fight for the light creating a natural lean towards the buildings. (Amended)
