T2 - Beech sp. - Northern laterals, crown lift off building by 2m and reduce laterals northern laterals 2m to give finished length of 2m. Cuts no greater than 40mm, sever the ivy. T3 - Beech sp. Major deadwood greater than 35mm stem diameter; sever the ivy at the base. T4 - Beech sp.- crown lift over the building to allow a 3m building clearance; stem diameter cuts no greater than 35mm. Remove lower epicormic regrowth around the base. T5 - Beech sp. - Northern first lateral to tip reduces western branch back to the fork. 2nd northern lateral to reduce by 2m. 55mm stem diameter cut. T6 - Beech sp. - 2nd northern lateral to reduce back to the first fork leaving at 1m. Stem diameter cut 100mm. T7 - Beech sp.- First southern lateral take back to source, tree in decline, no growth point, to lower future risk of failure. Monitor tree.

The application relates to the implementation of Listed Building Consent ref. 07/03098/LIS, granted by Winchester City Council on 21 January 2008, for ?internal alterations to upgrade bedrooms and staircase? at The Dove Inn, Micheldever Station. The consent authorised internal alterations to the first floor of the listed building to facilitate the improvement of the existing guest accommodation, including the formation of additional guest bedrooms with ensuite facilities and the installation of a new staircase to serve the first floor accommodation. At the time of the consent, the first floor of the property already contained several guest bedrooms (Bedrooms 1?5), which were operated in connection with the public house as guest accommodation. The approved scheme proposed the reconfiguration of existing internal rooms to create six additional guest bedrooms (Bedrooms 6?11) with ensuite bathrooms and to improve the circulation within the building through the installation of a new staircase within the central hall. Following the grant of Listed Building Consent, works were undertaken in 2008 to upgrade the building services and plumbing infrastructure to facilitate the approved development. These works included the upgrading of the hot water system and installation of pipework and valved outlets to serve the proposed new bathrooms associated with the additional bedrooms. Evidence of these works is provided within the supporting documentation, including invoices and accounts from W. Churches & Son Ltd dated April?May 2008. The documentation confirms that the works included upgrading the hot water service to accommodate additional bathrooms and installing associated pipework within the building. The installation of the pipework required the lifting of floorboards within the first-floor corridor and bedroom areas to allow pipe runs to be installed to the locations of the proposed ensuite bathrooms.
