The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

Fieldbeck Barn Garth Cartmel GRANGE-OVER-SANDS LA11 6PP
T1 Silver Birch. This tree is now about 30 years old and although attractive, is in the wrong place. It is too close to the garden wall which could be pushed over into the stream, and its roots are raising the stones of the adjacent path. It shades the garden and prevents other plants from growing properly. Moreover, I have always tried to maintain a sight line to The Priory from the road (Barn Garth) it it obscures that. I would like to fell it completely. There are other very mature trees close by. T2 Silver Birch. This tree is about 25 years old and is far too close to the house. Roots are appearing in the cellar! It shades the rooms at the rear of the house and, like T1, also obscures the sight line from the road to The Priory. I would like to fell it completely. There are other, less tall, trees close by. T3 Silver Birch. This sapling is crammed in between a well established beech and a conifer and is distorting the shape of both of these. It is 4 or 5 years old and I would like to fell it completely. I do not propose to replace these trees directly as there are many other Silver Birch saplings not shown on the sketch plan along with Hawthorn, Alder etc. which are not badly positioned close to walls or buildings. I would ask one of the local tree surgeons to carry out the work.
