Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1 - Leylandii - Reduce height by 50%. T2 - Ash - Remove (Declining canopy suspected Ash die-back). T3 - Sycamore - Reduce lateral branches away from Blue Cedar. T4 - Rhododendron - Remove 3 stems to give suitable clearance around neighbouring trees. G1 - Oak, Beech, Beech, Birch and Oak - Crown raise upto 5 meters over the footpath and highway. T5 - Crown raise upto 5 meters over the highway and remove substantial deadwood. T6 + T7 - Oak and Sycamore - Remove 1 large low lateral over the highway on the Oak and 1 subordinate stem on the Sycamore. ( Both trees have grown in close proximity, causing rubbing damage/weak points in the stems/lateral branches.) T8 + T9 - Oak and Sycamore - Crown raise no more than one third of the trees total height. 10 - Horse Chestnut - Crown raise upto 5 meters over the highway. Reasons - Part of good tree management.

The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
