T531: Oak - Reduce whole crown length by 3m to 4m, remove 8-12 small dead branches back to trunk, reduce the length of 3 x branches by 4 metres that are now hanging close to the ground on the SW quadrant. Each branch is growing downwards from a larger, main branch that is growing from the trunk, it is the downward portions that are proposed to cut, not the main horizontal branches Some branches are dead and will fall if not removed safely, the tree grows significantly each season & some branches will soon make contact with our house. As the tree grows, the risk of property damage & hazards to people (particularly in storms) will increase. Small sticks & branches regularly fall, more so when windy - we have children at the property and these falling objects are a hazard. The tree has grown on top of a raised stone/dirt bank rather than on flat ground and we are concerned that as the tree becomes ever larger, there is a risk of the tree becoming more and more unstable. The bank is approx 2 metres wide and approx 1.5 to 2 metres above solid ground on both elevations. This doesn't give the normal amount of support around the base of the trunk that a tree in flat ground would get, Branches overhang neighbouring property by approx 8 to 9 metres and present a hazard in high winds as well as making a large part of their garden unusable due to the shade and also dramatically reduced rainfall.
