Granted Trees 22 docs -
1 The Old School The Village Buckland Monachorum PL20 7NA
T1: Sycamore - Crown reduction by circa 2m. Should the tree grow too large, it could become unstable due to its proximity to the retaining wall. This could lead to damage to the footpath and graveyard, hence wanting to maintain the tree at its current size T2: Hawthorn/Blackthorn - Removal of tree. As shown in the images, the tree has grown too close to the edge of the retaining wall and has fallen over the path. Due to risk of it falling further and unlikely to become more stable in its position T3: Sycamore - Removal so that the hawthorn/blackthorn (T4) is able to grow without being outcompeted by T3. Tree on the edge of the retaining wall, so could pose issues in future. This is no higher than T4 and the tree in the neighbouring land, so would not make a significant impact to the area T4: Hawthorn/Blackthorn - Crown reduction to circa 2.5-3m tall & removal of Ivy. These trees appear to be struggling with the size of their crowns and the significant Ivy growth. A crown reduction to remove the overhanging branches, will enable the trees to rejuvenate and re-establish
Granted Trees 16 docs -
1 The Old School The Village Buckland Monachorum PL20 7NA
T1: Hawthorn - Removal of unstable Hawthorn tree, which is leaning over public footpath & beginning to encroach on graveyard , removal is required to ensure safety of footpath users & to prevent damage to graveyard/boundary wall(s), stump to remain in-situ to prevent damage to wall, tree to be replaced with a Rowan tree (PT2) in same position along the path, but within garden of 1 The Old School to prevent causing further damage to retaining wall, this would be ~2ft distance from the retaining wall. Tree appears to have shifted lower following recent storms, & currently is below head height on path at ~5ft above path, due to this & darkening evenings, tree needs to be removed before it causes any damage or injury
