Works: Extension Domestic
Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
The proposed development comprises the formation of a single off-street parking space within the existing front garden of the dwellinghouse. The works will include the removal of an area of existing lawn measuring approximately 5.0 metres by 3.0 metres, excavation to the required depth, installation of a permeable MOT Type 3 sub-base, construction of a permeable gravel surface, and installation of suitable edging to retain the gravel. The proposed parking space will be formed entirely within the residential curtilage of the property. Existing drainage infrastructure, including the inspection chamber within the site, will be retained and remain accessible. No extension to the dwellinghouse or other buildings is proposed, and no impermeable surfacing will be installed.

The Ash tree in question is on the boarder of 19 Greenacre Place and 8 The Night Owls, RG19 8SB. Work (crown lift and reduction) was carried out to this tree approximately 5 years ago. Crown reduction (approximately 3 meters in line with previous cuts) and potentially the removal of a limb (it's this limb that is getting too close to the house). I propose a 2-3m reduction of the canopy of the tree and the removal of 1 significant limb as shown in the photos provided. Maximum diameter of cuts for the overall crown reduction would be 8cm. Maximum diameter of cut for the limb removal would be 40cm. The current height of the tree from ground level is 16-17m, the overall height of the tree after the reduction would be 13-14m. All pruning cuts to be carried out in accordance with BS3998.
