Planning application

Thirtover Place Ashmore Green Road Cold Ash Thatcham RG18 9JD

Decided West Berkshire 26/01648/TPW

Works: Trees

Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.

Proposal

The trees are a mix of Beech, Hawthorn, Holly, Norway Maple and oak. We would like to raise the crown to stop damage to the trees from vehicles. The trees are labelled T1-15 on the arboricultural plans over the main carpark and not numbered for the northern end of the site. We are looking at raising the crown for the trees along the road side of the site (east) to no more than 3.5 meters above ground level. We will not be felling any trees. Over the last 10 years we have planted over 100 small samplings and hedgerow saplings around the site and continue to plant more every year.

201/21/0929 - T9 - OAK - Crown Reduction - Reduce the crown spread on the north-western aspect of the canopy by up to 1 metre, reducing the overall spread in this direction from approximately 7 metres to 6 metres. Pruning will focus on reducing overextended lateral limbs back to suitable secondary growth points, bringing the crown back into balance whilst retaining the tree's natural form and overall character. G1 - 201/21/0931 - W1 - MIXED: Sectional dismantle 4x dead silver birch tree to just above ground level. (Silver Birch) H1 - 201/21/0189 - A1 (Leyland Cypress): Trim the neighbour's side of the Leyland Cypress hedge where it is overhanging the boundary fence. Neaten and reshape the hedge to provide a tidy, uniform appearance while retaining sufficient green foliage to maintain the health and appearance of the hedge.
