Proposal
Works to be carried out: Existing slates to be removed including existing roof battens exposing rafters. New 25x50 roof battens to be installed against the joists to reduce the imperfections and bowing in the roof so the roof more flat once the slates are laid. New breathable membrane and treated roof battens to be installed so the underside is up to date with modern day standards New reclaimed slates (natural) like for like to be installed using copper fixings. New lead flashing around chimney and ridge line using like for like materials. Adequate ventilation - vent tiles and over fascia vents. Bonding gutters to be installed on conjoining party wall so the installation is the correct roof gauge.

What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.

Traffic lights are blocked by trees encroaching over the road. All 3 Maple trees growing of the pavement / road should be cut back. To reduce back half of the canopies of the 3 specified trees by 2-3 metres so they are roughly 1 ft behind the metal railing below. They will also create 2m clearance from the traffic lights picture.

The proposals seek to reorganise the existing ground floor arrangement by relocating the kitchen into the current dining room and reinstating a former doorway opening to form a more practical entrance sequence. A pantry will be created by enclosing the existing opening between the two rooms, while the current kitchen space will be reconfigured to provide a separate utility room and boot room.
