The willow tree that is the subject of this application is located in the north east corner of the garden close to the boundaries of two other properties. It is the only willow tree in the garden. The tree is marked with a '1' on the location plan. This tree has grown far too large for the location and is overhanging/encroaching on to neighbouring gardens, one property is very close to it. In addition the branches are now putting weight on the leylandi hedges on the the northern and eastern boundaries so could damage them. These hedges are otherwise in very good condition. We wish to have it pollarded and at the same time a maximum of 1m of one of the large branches in the centre cut back to improve the shape and general aesthetics.
