On sketch plan: ///ready.split.thudding Too61- beech. Height reduction by c.5-6m (tree 24m and post pruning height will be c.18m). Canopy edges will be pruned reduced by approximately 1.5m- 2m to shape. ///data.defers.political Too62- beech- reduce height by 3-4m (tree post pruning is expected to be 21m in height). Top edges of canopy to be reduced??by??1m??to??shape. 3x mature beech trees behind and to the north east of the creative therapies studio. ///digesting.kite.skim. T1. 1x beech tree directly behind studio - Reduce in height by approximately 3-4m to appropriate pruning points. Post pruning height will be approximately 14-16m. Reduce eastern canopy edge to taper in with remaining canopy spread. This will be done by removing 2.5m from the tips of the branches. ///hides.depth.soap. T2. 1x beech tree north east of the studio - Reduce in height by approximately 3-4m to appropriate pruning points. Post pruning height will be approximately 16-18m. Reduce eastern canopy spread by 2m by removing overextending lateral branches back to suitable pruning points. T3. 1x beech tree north west of T2 - Reduce in height by 2.5m to appropriate pruning points. Post pruning height will be 14m above ground level. The finishing height of the tree will fit in with the already narrow canopy spread of the tree. These trees are referred to as group 3 on QTRA document.

T1: Mature Holm Oak: Crown reduce the height and lateral spread by approximately 3 - 3.5 metres, pruning branch tips back to suitable secondary growth points to retain a natural crown outline. Works to achieve a balanced canopy with no more than one-third of foliage removed in accordance with BS 3998:2010. Tree is heavily leaning towards neighbouring property and the canopy is all weighted in the same direction due to it being a woodland edge tree. The requested works are to help reduce excessive shading within the garden area. The tree is very imposing from the property with its heavy lean towards property and growing from bank at its canopy spread.

T008: 1x Mature Beech Large buttress roots formed around the base of the tree, situated as focal point for garden area. Tight included union at bifurcation point at 4m, with large ears formed to the north and south, included union on secondary eastern stem at 8m with ears formed to the north and south. Historic primary limb failure at 8m on the western stem, large open wound with limited wound wood formed. Large ganoderma spp brackets growing from cavity to the north on western most stem. Bracket forming in old occluding wound to the south of the wound site on same stem. In striking distance of benches in garden area. Area is used for events in the summer. Tree has had primary limb failure at union at secondary eastern stem at 8m. Tree officer has attended site and agreed on removal, area roped off until TPO application has been approved. Fell tree and replant with Copper Beech.

T0091 - Multi stemmed Norway Maple on main drive - dismantle two main stems supported by a weak bark junction at 1.5m from ground level that overhang neighbouring properties. T1- Ash Tree (ADB) - Main drive adjacent to Sweet Chestnut - dismantle to near ground level. T0075 - European Lime - Top of main drive - Crown reduce west facing primary stem by up to 4m . This action will reduce the loading on the weak bark junction at basal level two co-dominant main stems. T13 - Woodland Ash overhanging neighbouring properties - dismantle to near ground level as showing poor vitality and bark death at base. T0086 - Norway Maple - woodland tree overhanging boarder to formal gardens - dismantle to near ground level. Tree has extensive basal decay on north side of the tree.

Crown lift secondary branch growth only up to approximately 4.5m from ground level to achieve the required vertical clearance above the driveway and neighbours. Crown thin overall leaf bearing twig structure by 10 percent. This will also help with canopy crowding and avoid other trees rubbing against each other. Remove all major dead wood from crown All trees are Fagus Sylvatica (Mature Beech) This work has been previously accepted in 2023, application submitted by Devon Tree Services and works were completed by them as well.

T1 Mimosa Proposed works: Fell Mature Mimosa situated within a confined residential garden in a Conservation Area, immediately adjacent to a masonry boundary wall and nearby buildings. The presence of Ganoderma fruiting bodies at the base of the tree indicates a potential wood-decay infection. The tree also exhibits an irregular crown with apparent dieback and is growing within a severely restricted environment. Its proximity to residential property, garden areas and the public highway increases the potential consequences of structural failure. Felling is proposed on the grounds of suspected basal decay, apparent crown deterioration and the tree's restricted location.

T1 - Holm Oak Recommended works: Establish a pollard framework by removing the three substantial lateral branches at the positions indicated by the red markings in Photograph 3. The proposed works are intended to reduce the extensive lateral crown and associated mechanical loading from the tree's pronounced lean, while retaining the tree. Cyclical management: Following establishment, implement a seven-year cyclical pollarding regime to manage regrowth, control crown size, and limit excessive loading on the retained framework. Inspect the developing pollard heads periodically, particularly during the initial establishment period, to assess shoot attachment, structural condition and physiological response. All works should be undertaken in accordance with BS 3998:2010, subject to confirmation that the proposed cutting positions and degree of crown removal are appropriate following an on-site assessment. The seven-year interval is the proposed management objective and should be reviewed based on the tree's regrowth and structural condition.

T1 - Western Red Cedar Proposed works: Fell Reason for works T1 is an established Western red cedar growing in exceptionally close proximity to an existing stone boundary wall. Photographic evidence indicates that the lower stem is in direct contact with the masonry, creating a physical conflict between the tree and the structure. Continued radial growth of the stem could exert further pressure on the wall, resulting in progressive displacement and deterioration of the masonry. The close relationship between the stem and the wall also restricts access for inspection, maintenance and necessary repairs. The tree's position presents a long-term management conflict. Crown reduction would not resolve the fundamental issue at the base of the tree, as it would not prevent continued radial stem growth. Felling is recommended as a permanent way to resolve the physical conflict between the tree and the boundary wall, prevent further interference from stem growth, and facilitate any necessary structural repairs. This recommendation is based primarily on the tree's unsuitable position relative to the existing structure and the limited practical options for a sustainable long-term solution. Based on its apparent size and maturity, it is possible that the tree was planted after the original Tree Preservation Order (TPO) was established.

Holm Oak 12m Tall 50cm diameter (Already have approved plan for other three trees on site, scope to mirror that) Crown mai fence works requested to cut back to previous pruning points, not as far as original pollard but to the secondary pollard points, this has been noted on tree inspectors recent visit looking at other trees on site. This tree was not included in the original request due to a miscommunication between owner and agent. Plan to reduce radial spread down from 9m to 7m roughly removing 1.5-2m of regrowth.
