T1 - Sycamore - Approx 6 metres in height Remove to ground level due to large sized cavity in stem approx waist height. T3 - Beech - Appox 18 metres in height Remove to ground level - Codominant stems at the base as well poor positioning for the tree (between 2 houses). Tree adjacent has recently failed from very similar unions at the base. T2 - Beech - Approx 15 metres in height Remove to ground level. Tree adjacent has recently failed. Remaining trees in surrounding area are to be removed meaning tree is potentially exposed to high winds. Concerns of potential ganoderma in the future due to adjacent trees recent failure aswell.

Ash T1 and Ash T2 per sketch map are self seeded trees. Both have grown up through the hedge with crooked trunks and are leaning into the garden. They are now encroaching on the existing whitebeam in the garden and the holly in the neighbour's garden. I would like to remove both these trees. Field maple T3- trunk in neighbour's garden but growing over my fence. The tree is engulfed in ivy which needs severing and the crown is messy and top heavy. I would like to reduce the overhanging growth on my side of the fence by 2m and reduce the height by 2m to make it a more stable structure. Also I will remove all the dead wood within it. Holly T4 - messy and top heavy as a result of ivy infestation from neighbour's side. Once ivy cleared, I would like crown tidied up to make stable. I would like the height of the holly reduced by 2m to make it less top heavy and the overhanging growth on my side of the fence reduced by 2m. Both T3 and T4 are old hedging plants which have been allowed to overgrow

This is a supplementary application to application 24/1279/TPO which is currently under consideration by TRDC. In that application we have requested that T12 (Oak tree in neighbouring garden of The Cottage, Trout Rise) is permitted to have dead wood removed. We are now requesting additional permission as follows: "Oak tree overhanging from neighbours property (The Cottage, Trout Rise), cut back overhang by 2 metres." T12 currently overhangs our boundary line by 7.5 metres. We are requesting to reduce the crown by only 2 metres of overhang. We have lived at St Cyrus for over 18 years and the overhang of this tree has never been reduced, consequently the crown has now grown to a size where it is growing over our house. Hence the request to reduce the crown overhang by 2 metres back toward the boundary line, which would still leave a considerable overhang.

T1 - silver birch - approx 7/8 metres high - The tree has an extreme lean towards phone line, road and front drive. The upper canopy is also directly above the phone line. Applicant is concerned about potential failure of the tree as he would be liable for any damages. I initially recommended reduction from the height by approximately 3 metres as this would take us to the nearest suitable growth point, leaving the tree at a height of approximately 5 metres standing. However knowing silver birch's reaction to cuts of this size i would be concerned of a large cavity forming in the future progression of the tree. I therefore recommend removal of the tree so we can eliminate any potential future hazards from a tree being so close to the road. Replanting in the same area would not be recommended either due to being in close proximity to phone lines. T2 - Ash - Approx 10 metres high - on the border of Kingfisher Cottage and Southwinds - The lowest south east facing limb is creating unwanted shading and leaf drop to the guttering and sky light. I believe that removal of the limb to the source will be suitable and wont effect the tree's health. The limb is approximately 4 inches in diameter and 3 to 4 meters lateral length. The tree also has significant amount of ivy and which will be severed providing a 1m clearance from the base.

TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
