About amendment applications
An amendment application makes limited changes to a permission that already exists; anything beyond modest adjustment needs a fresh application. More in our guide to planning application types.

Fir Tree On Verge Outside Of The Warren Trout Rise Loudwater Hertfordshire WD3 4JY
There are two firs which need trimming back well, but only as far as the ends still have greenery. Not sure if we need permission to do that or not, but the fir nearest the roadside is making the road narrower than it should be, causing a hazard to road users/pedestrians and clipping aerials and ring mirrors. We feel it needs cutting back 15 feet or so up otherwise we?ll just create a big overhang.

Tara Trout Rise Loudwater Rickmansworth Hertfordshire WD3 4JY
We have a Robinia tree in our back garden that is too big for the space, and we are concerned that it will damage the retaining wall and encroach on the house. We would like to remove it and replace it with a tree that will not grow as large, such as a Japanese Dogwood.

Rear garden G1- group of Thuja plicata and Picea abies fell to ground level. trees have be come over extended and sparsely foliated, planted to close together and showing signs of prevouse prunning and lower levels resulting in multiple stems. G2- group of Taxus baccata Reduce by 20% - 3m - in height trees have become misshaped and one sided where they have competed with the Thuja Front garden T1- Salix Reduce crown by 25% -3m - The tree has developed a misshaped and weak branch structure with potential of failure. T2- Lawson Cypress fell to gound. Trees have been badly "topped" previously. G3- group of 2 Pinus with and understory of Ilex. 30% - 4m - reduction on lateral branches to aid in reshaping and prevent any branch failure over the road.
