It is on the edge of the boundary with 215 Hampermill Lane. Easy to identify - its the only tree over 2.5 metres tall in the garden. Description of works - Reduce crown by 3 metres - reduces height to c21 metres - Remove dead branches. Reasons why work is required - Large branches have recently fallen into the garden, and we are concerned over safety of both ourselves and children who play in the garden. Growth in crown is uneven with a number of dead branches.

Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
