Proposal
We would like to apply for the following beech trees at the front of our garden. Full crown reduction to previous pruning points (30%) or 2 to 3 metres and 3.5 metres lift from the ground. We would like to ensure that the shape of the trees are kept and allow light into the house. Previous approved application 15/0214/TPO. PP03946513

The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

English Oak. Number 1 on sketch plan. Selective reduction on a mature English Oak by 3-4 metres (Previous pruning points) of some limbs overhanging neighbour property and garden. Reason for the work is to allow light through and reduce risk of failure of the particular limbs as they have grown a significant amount laterally therefore would benefit from a weight reduction but still maintaining healthy growth points. Deadwood throughout the crown
