  Neither myself nor our neighbour can identify the species of tree as it is pretty much dead. We are both in agreement that the tree can be removed subject to the councils approval as it is damaging the fence and parts of the tree appear dead. They also have a lovely Laurel which we think will thrive once the tree is removed. There is only one tree to come down. I have spoken with Tom Hunnings from Penn Tree services and he advised that the best course of action would be to remove the branches and because of the health of the tree the whole tree to come down - it is pretty much on the border of the properties.

  T1 - Silver Birch - prune back to previous reduction points (2m to be taken off) to contain the spread and pre-empt limb shedding from old reduction points. T2 - Crab Apple - pollard at 2m due to multiple cavities in order to prevent limb failure as 2 or 3 of the main stems have died off already, this is an attempt to save the tree as it is falling apart and cannot support the structure.

  TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
