Proposal
General maintenance of 9 oak trees (T1-T8 and T10) by way of crown reduction of up to 30%, removal of deadwood (some of which has started to fall) and lift of crown height of 10m in respect of each of the 9 oak trees. Plus removal of a beech tree (X1) adjacent to T1. Advice sought from arborist in respect of all proposed works. To note re removal of the beech tree (X1) this is suggested on the basis the tree could impinge the health of T1. Re T8, part of the crown of this tree is intertwined with the crown of our neighbour's oak at No 15 Shire Lane which is lopsided (photo included). To reduce the 9 Oak trees by - it is for a 2m reduction in the crown of each tree in addition to the other works described

Oak Tree 9 (T9) as shown on page 21 of the attached arborist report. The report states that 'T9, is in very poor condition, by way of both basal decay and the effects of truncation caused by an historic topping operation' [Page 15]. 'Tree 9 is in a poor condition with a significantly reduced safe useful life expectancy. It should be inspected annually but will need to be removed sooner rather than later, within five years' [Page 16]. Therefore, we are seeking permission to fell the tree and replace with an English Oak in the same location.

Remove major deadwood of more than 40mm in diameter. G1) Cypress x6 (Pinus sylvestris) Tree overhanging outbuilding & children's play area Section fell all to ground level, using heavy rigging equipment to safely lower all timber. Trees to be removed due to same species coming down in a recent storm - trees are very tall and thin with high wind sails. T1) Copper Beech (Fagus sylvatica) Major decay present at approx 1m from tree base going up 3m towards the crown break. Decay present on the tension side of the tree. Risk of potential failure recommended to remove ASAP Section fell to ground level, using heavy rigging equipment to safely lower all timber. NOTE: Tree has declined significantly since previous inspection In December 2024, with large holes created from woodpeckers. G2) Trees by front of lawn (front garden) Crown thin by approximately 15-20% to allow for more light onto lawn, encouraging future growth All tree work as part of continued maintenance, personal safety and best practices.

TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
