In attached report it is tree reference 0505 which is a tall Douglas fir with a split to 1.5m. The work required is to reduce the longest lateral branches ? which are mostly on the southern side by around 2 m to reduce the harmful effects of wind-induced torsional twisting

TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
