Proposal

T1 - Sycamore x 1 - prune first northerly growing branch-which is about 200mm in diameter- back to point of origin, reduce smaller lower northeasterly growing branch by 2m back to vertically growing lateral on the upper side, reduce second easterly growing branch by 1.5m (180mm diameter) to tidy and remove historic damage, reduce northwesterly growing lateral branch (which is around 190 mm diameter) by around 1.5m. Reasons: The lower lateral branches encroach around 9 m into the garden of number 25 and render the southern end of the garden unusable, particularly in summer. Our intention is to reduce the magnitude of shading which is contemporarily oppressive due to the house being appreciably lower than the tree which is of mature age class, tall and has a widely spreading crown. It is located almost directly to the south and so obstructs both ambient light, and direct sunlight throughout much of the day.

    TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
