- Apple Tree (#1): Felling the whole tree as it is now dead (no leaves last summer) and it is rotting at its base. A stick can be pushed through its roots. The tree is now a hazard and at risk of falling on the green house. Would not replant as the nearby laurels are growing fast. We will also re-use the space to allow the nearby strawberries & raspberries bushes to grow. A new cherry tree was planted 2 years ago as the apple tree started to show signs of decay. - Apple Tree (#2): Felling the whole tree as it is dying (3 out 5 branches are dead). We can see that it started to rot at its base (flaky white flesh can be removed). Our gardener confirmed the the tree will not recover and that it should be removed; they do not climb on it to prune the good branches as the tree is wobbly and unsafe. Would not replant as a flower bed is growing all around the tree. If replanting is mandatory, a pear tree would be planted somewhere else instead. - Apple Tree (#3): While the tree is still alive a few large holes in the branches are collecting water and dirt; this is resulting in the tree to rot slowly from the inside. Would be replaced by a new laurel since the tree is in the middle of the laurel hedge at the back of the property.
