Mimosa Acacia DealbataTree - rear garden - has grown to a level that it is in within a metre of the house. So within a metre of touching the property. Tree needs to be pollard. Tree height is approx 16 metres and we would like to cut back the branches by 4 metres so does not start touching property. Tree would still be 10 metres after cutting the branches.

About amendment applications
An amendment application makes limited changes to a permission that already exists; anything beyond modest adjustment needs a fresh application. More in our guide to planning application types.

Reduction should be to at least the previous authorised works but should be done in such a fashion as to minimise new growth towards the telegraph structure. T256 Cherry 1. Removal of second (minor) tree that's growing towards and interfering with house structure and garden wall. Removal down to wall level only to retain current integratory of wall. 2. A large branch broke away from the central trunk of a large Cherry tree TPO T264 in high winds and was subsequently identified as diseased and rotten right through (see photo of fallen diseased branch). A tree surgeon has removed the broken branch and another small branch in the diseased section which was hanging over the garden and was potentially dangerous. The tree has now been made safe by a tree surgeon. We want to try to keep the Cherry tree, though it is very old but it is possible that other parts are also diseased. The tree surgeon recommends a crown reduction of between 2-3m to try to save it, if it is possible to do so. See photo of whole tree.
