Planning application

26 Hill Top Avenue Cheadle Hulme Cheadle Stockport SK8 7HY

Granted Stockport DC/086853 Tree Works In A Conservation Area

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

The attached diagram shows 2 poplars and 1 conifer on the north side of our garden, adjoining our neighbour at no. 24. These are approximately 35, 37 and 41 yards from the rear of our house. The second poplar is on the south side of our garden, adjoining our neighbour at no. 28. This is approximately 43 yards from the rear of our house. The work will be to reduce the height and possibly girth, where necessary. We will use professional tree surgeons. These mature trees all appear to be healthy and we have no desire to have them removed. They have just got too large and cast unwanted shadows over our garden and both our neighbours. We are sure that reducing them will keep them healthy and reduce the inevitable debris they drop. HAR/CA26.

Oak (T12) TPO Ref: 69W Reduce crown by 20% secondary branches only in order to produce a more compact canopy formation. Reason for the pruning: To control the size of the tree and allow more light to the surrounding gardens. - HAR/CA26 , TPO#: 69W - T12

Oak Trees border garden and we are looking to reduce the crown and remove dead branches. Advisory (reduce and reshape by 20%, secondary branches only and crown thin by 25%) we have previously had this work done and granted back in 2006 however we believe the trees are now taller than they were then and block the light. Furthermore the roots are visible through the garden. HAR/CA26, TPO#: 69W - T2
