Diseased Apple tree to remove and poison (S1 and T2 are also far too close to the structure. T3. Small ailing conifer to remove to ground *Ivy hedge across bottom of garden borough down by 3 ft. T4. Medium holly tree wedged behind shed to be reshaped and brought down by approximately 3 ft to blend with the hedge. T5. Conifer too close to structure, medium size, causing obstruction, foliage leaning on house, blocking the gutter, ridiculously placed, removed to ground, worried about subsidence and the drains also. H1. Large conifer hedge spanning the left side of the property, approximately 18ft, to be brought down by 4ft, shaped and faced up both sides, maintain beauty and privacy. H2. Seperate conifer hedge left hand side front and part side around driveway, this had been damaged in the past, we are lifting all the dead upto the green foliage to create a neat and straight line hedge. We have recently acquired this property. We have noticed that there is a large tree to the side of the house which does not look to have been maintained, together with a hedge row of conifers which have been required to grow alongside the boundary wall with Mersey Road. In respect of the large tree, you will see from the pictures that it has been allowed to grow to a height where it is impacting the cables coming into the house and we are concerned about its impact on the house and/or the boundary wall. In relation to the hedge row of conifers, we had a full structural survey of the property carried out before acquiring the property, which highlighted these as a concern (again, they do not look to have been maintained and/or trimmed for some time). We are happy to share a copy of that report but what it stated is "To the left hand side of the property, there is a continuous line of trees which have pushed the small height garden outwards causing a tilt. Should the trees continue to grow in the future, it is possible that the wall may become damaged to the point where a take down and rebuild may be necessary". What we wanted to do, was to have a specialist to come in and look at lowering the height of the main tree by the side of house, and then look at the conifers as well. The conifers have been allowed to grow to a height where they actually looking to be dying due to the amount of moisture they must have been consuming. HAR/CA14.

Plan to prune one large and mature Maple tree (Red maple (Acer rubrum) which is over 100 ft (90Yrs Old) but which has low overhanging branches which stretch from our garden into next doors garden (as a large canopy) and which due to ongoing growth become unstable where we have had large branches fall in recent storms both on our side and next door at number 4. So, advice from tree surgeon is of pruning back of some of the lower branches by 2-4 meters or take out those branches which are old or brittle but not to work on any height reduction of the tree at all, in order to keep this in proportion to the width of the trunk and to maintain the look of the maple. The last time this tree was pruned was well over 20 yrs ago, so it is overdue to keep it in good health. We are using the same tree surgeons who have cut this tree before and are experienced in maple care. Secondly to also then prune back an older cherry tree (Wild Cherry cultivar ?Plena?) opposite (approx. 30+ years old and 70-75 ft) which sits close to the fence on the boarder of our garden and the garden of 16 Mersey Rd also has a large canopy, which is now blocking light and which has some dead or diseased lower hanging branches which need pruning back by 2-4 meters or taking out to make safe. Hindle & Brown Tree Care, (Manchester Rd., Stockport, SK4 1NL) have assessed both trees and will carry out the works. HAR/CA14.
