T2-Ash Large tree with a wide spreading crown Recent ivy removal from the main trunk and union has uncovered a large area of very extensive decay. One of the four main trunks failed and hanging onto the neighbouring fence. Two large, ivy clad trunks lean heavily over the neighbouring property. Given the condition of the main union, there is insufficient sound wood to support and hold these trunks. The whole are is riddled with soft white rot in an advanced state. Suggested works are to fell to ground level T9-Laurel Large ivy clad specimen. Similarly with above, ivy was removed from the main trunk which uncovered and extensive hollowing. The cavity is very large and tapping with a mallet indicated this extends for several meters either side. Laurel are soft timbered and not great compartmentalisers, given the size of the tree and the defect suggested works are to fell to ground level
