Proposal
Application under Section 73 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 concerning previous planning permission reference ST/1109/21/FUL granted on appeal for the demolition of existing buildings and the erection of 202 residential units (Use Class C3) including vehicular access from Cleadon Lane, associated infrastructure and landscaping - to vary conditions 4 and 8 of that permission so that access from new dwellings within the site to the bridleway running alongside the south-western boundary of the site and upgrading of that bridleway between the site and East Boldon Metro Station only needs to be provided for prior to the first occupation of any dwelling on plots 116 to 133 rather than any dwelling on plots 56-118 and to vary conditions 13, 14 and 15 of that permission regarding ground contamination investigation, remediation and verification to clarify those phases of development where further submissions regarding these matters are required.

An amendment application makes limited changes to a permission that already exists; anything beyond modest adjustment needs a fresh application. More in our guide to planning application types.
