About householder applications
How this application type works
Householder applications cover work to an existing house and its garden: extensions, loft and garage conversions, porches, outbuildings and similar alterations within the boundary of the home. They cannot be used to create a separate dwelling or change what the building is used for. Councils aim to decide them within eight weeks, and immediate neighbours are usually notified and given a chance to comment.

T1: Goat Willow Remove two stems growing over recently built neighbouring property to leave tree a more upright form. Lightly prune/crown lift remaining crown where necessary over access driveway. The stems are growing very close to the roof of the new structure and given the vigorous re-growth capacity of these trees it would be preferable to remove the stems entirely rather than to reduce. The remaining tree will be leaning away from the new structure but will present a more upright form. T2: Hazel (ivy clad) Fell x2 stems growing over parking area. There are some significant dead branches posing a danger to people and parked vehicles so I have advised to park cars elsewhere until the trees have been dealt with. The stems can be cut back to leave smaller upright growth. T3: Box Remove stem overhanging driveway. Remove 2 smaller branches on opposing side to balance and leave a more symmetrical upright form. T4: Yew Crown lift 2x lower branches house side and 1 x lowest branch opposing side of crown. Tree is making the area dark due to its size. It is proposed to crown raise some low branches to allow more light into the area with minimum impact on the tree.
