Proposal

Works requested for approval: To 9 x Lime Tree as indicated in orange box on plan and google maps screenshot. Existing trees are all approximately 16m high, with a 6m crown spread radius. Works proposed are: - Crown reduction - 3m reduction, leaving 3m crown - this is in order to allow enjoyment of the 3 property gardens (currently the trees overhang significantly), and reduce danger from branches which currently drop frequently and to tidy up appearance - Crown thinning - 30% thinning requested - in order to allow light down to the gardens below - currently grass does not survive - Tidy / Trim top - as indicated with red circles in photos, there are a couple of very high branches which we would like to remove to tidy up appearance and reduce risk of danger. - these stick out from the top very far - this is minor trimming needed We have spoke to a local arborist / tree surgeon - and would intend on using their services to perform the work. We have also spoken to the land owners who we would get the consent of to perform the works. Email received 14 September 2021 - to add further 5 lime trees in row - same works as above. Amended Specification agreed by email 23/09/2021: G1 - Lime x14 Stage 1 (ideally implemented before spring 2022) - Reduce height and lateral branches on northern side (extending over gardens of 21-24 Little Martins) by up to 2m to suitable pruning points, concentrating efforts on lower and extended branches. - All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. - Remove deadwood. - Sever ivy. Stage 2 (to be implemented once ivy has withered, ideally September 2022) - Remove withered ivy from canopy. - Thin Crown by a maximum of 15% retaining an even density of foliage throughout a well-spaced and balanced branch structure. - All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. - Remove deadwood.
