Proposal
T1 Plane - Remove the lowest limb at 5.5m above ground level towards the house back to source. Remove the long lower limb at 6m above ground level overhanging the garage roof back to source. Evenly reduce the lateral spread by approximately 3m around the perimeter of the canopy. Pruning cuts should not exceed 100mm. Works equating to 10% of the tree's leaf area. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain crown form. T2 and T3 Aspen - On both trees, remove the two lowest limbs back to source that directly overhang the boundary hedge, towpath and river bank (and hence moored boats). To address the potential hazard of unpredictable limb breakage. T5 - Willow. Remove the 7 lowest smallest limbs of approximately 100mm diameter back to source. Evenly reduce the spread of the long lateral branches by approximately 4m around the perimeter of the canopy where they are longer than 8m. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain crown form. To address the potential hazard of unpredictable limb breakage TG1 x5 Willow - Reduce crown height of all five trees by upto 40% to effectively pollard them at approximately 10m height. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junctions, to maintain and enable a good crown form as they re-grow. Limbs have recently broken out of a number of these trees and this work therefore will address the potential hazard of unpredictable limb breakage.

2 x London Plane trees (1 in front garden and 1 in back garden). I am applying for permission to undertake careful pruning/remedial work on our 2 very old and precious London Plane trees to remove all deadwood/branches in both. In our front garden we need to reduce the canopy as it is almost touching the house. It also has a telephone wire passing through it which needs clearance. It has had heavy pollarding in the past which we would like to avoid. In our back garden the Plane has branches resting on our Yew trees adjacent to Ferry Lane (public road) and Limes so we need to lift and make safe.
