Proposal
T1 - Cupressus I planted a Cupressus in 1998 to screen our garden from the newly built block of flats called Thameside Mansions. Over the yers it has grown to some 13 metres, our neighbour is concerned that, should it be blown over by an extreme storm from the north east it could damage her house. I would therefore like to deal with her concerns by reducing the height of the tree by some 40% and reshape it using an appointed tree surgeon. Remarks:

The council has decided this application; the published outcome sits in the record above and the decision notice on the council portal carries the detail, including any conditions.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
