Proposal
G3 - Remove the hanging branches from an Ash tree. The Beech tree from which the section failed is a very large tree. Its a large section that came down There is extensive decay at the point at which it failed there is an included union and substantial proportion of the canopy is still up and the only attachment is where this very decayed wood is. It is clear that at some point in the near future this is likely to fail. To monolith the tree to just below the level of the failure, which means removing the remaining canopy. At the same time the Ash tree will need to be reduced by approximately 30% folia which equates to 1.5-2m from the branch tips to mitigate the wind loading on this tree. Otherwise the section that's failed and the remaining canopy gone this tree will be very exposed and is likely to shed branches in relatively moderate winds. G3 A group of trees consisting of 6 Ash, 4 Beech, 18 Horse Chestnut, 19 Norway Maple and 6 Lime Spec: S1 T1 Ash, remove hanging branches, reduce canopy by 1.5-2m this equates to approx 30% of the tree's le Spec: S1 T2 Beech, to monolith the tree to just below the failure Spec: S19 Please add the following at the end of all the aprroved works: All pruning cuts must be made at bra Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage

T3 (G2) - Robinia - remove to encourage Yews in understorey to develop (silvicultural thinning). T4 (G1) - Lime - remove major deadwood over 30mm in dia. T5 (G1) - Horse Chestnut - reduce/thin canopy by 2.25m to contain structural weakness. T6 (G1) - Lime - remove deadwood over 30mm in dia. T6a (G1) - Lime - remove basal growth to facilitate thorough inspection. T7 (G8) - Sycamore - lift canopy to south over drive to avoid vehicular damage. Thin out limb above natural brace. T8 (G7) - Beech - thin southern aspect by 5-10% removing defective branches. T9 (G7) - Robinia - Silvicultural and declining status would justify felling to ground level. (T10,12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 (G7) - Lime x 10 - remove deadwood as over driveway and in area of continuous use up to 30mm in dia. Include trapped hangers. T11 (G7) - Pine - remove deadwood as over driveway and in area of continuous use. Include trapped hangers. T21 (T25) - Horse Chestnut - reduce lateral branch ends of stem to north east and 2 x laterals to south by 2.0m. Inspect cavities aerially during works and bifurcation to east. T21a - Copper Beech - light decompation works and mulch circle. T22 (T5) - Ash - retrenchment pruning by 2.5m to assist. Reduce easterly stem by reduction of heavy lateral by 4.0m to east. T23 (T3) - Ash - retrenchment prune by 2.5-3.0m. Group 24, 25, 26, 27 28 (G2) - remove major deadwood over 30mm in dia. T29 (G2) - Lime - inspect cavity to determine structural integrity.

2 x Ash, 1 x dead tree 2 x Ash - asymmetrical form anchored to river bank only. Selectively reduce laterals to south and canopy thin to assist weight leaning over river. Lift canopy to assist boat activity below. 1 x dead tree - carry out rigging works to fell in sections safely over river. All debris to be chipped and broadcast. Usable wood cut into sawn rings and stacked nearby. Supply and plant 3 x Populas alba, 3 x Populus tremula and 3 x Salix alba - suitable riparian species associated with river setting. High quality containerized stock to include delivery, planting labour, irrigation, aeration and staking. T1 Ash Spec: S1 T1 and T2 Reduce laterals to South and canopy thin to assist weight leaning over river Spec: S19 T1 and T2 All pruning cuts must be made at bra Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R6 Poor health, structural condition of form (delete as appropriate) Spec: S20 T1 and T2 3x Populus alba, 3x populus tremula, 3x salix alba T3 Ash Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Horse Chestnut by road and car park - This specimen shows an extensive area of decay in the area of test. Consider extensive remedial treatment or complete removal. Monitor on a regular basis if retained for future structural changes. Located beside road and car park, this Chestnut is showing poor vitality with evidence of Phytophthora (bleeding canker) visible on southern aspect with dead cambium and buttress. There is a large seam of decayed wood close to bifurcation as indicated by percussive hammer. Please see sonic tornograph test results enclosed. (M Gulliford aware of situation). Group of 3 x late mature Ash (two tested) Ash T4 - This specimen appears sound in the area of test. Monitor on a regular basis if retained for future structural changes. Ash T2 - This specimen appears sound in the area of test. Monitor on a regular basis if retained for future structural changes. Basal decay on T4 was currently deemed, non-structurally compromising. All three trees have undergone light retrenchment pruning which has resulted in successful regeneration throughout the canopy extemities, and also internally. Lightly thin canopy by 10% and reduce regrowth by 2m, particularly on laterals to the west over cricket nets (sport's area) to leave a balanced, flowing form. No pruning exceeding 60mm in diameter. Some habitat holes are present and upon inspection deemed acceptable to retain with above recommended works being carried out.

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
