Proposal
T1 - Beech T2 - London Plane T1 - Beech - reduce by 50%. A major branch has torn off at about 30' where the heartwood has become spongy. The remaining two branches above the tear are now dangerous, because of the nature of the heartwood and their significant weight. The tree would be reduced to just below the tear. A major branch on the west side would also require to be shortened by 50% to balance the tree. T2 - London Plane - shorten (or remove) a single bough - dependant upon the level of rot found when climbing. A significant lesion can be seen on a major branch about half way along its length (30'), dependant upon the degree of infection, the branch will have weight removed from its peripheral 1/3 or, in a worse case scenario, the whole branch removed, back to the trunk. To prevent twisting and perhaps breaking out, a 50% reduction will remove the weight and give a longer lifespan to that remaining part. T2 - Ash - Reduce top branches by 15'. Removal of the protection afforded to the upper part of this tree by the adjacent ash (Ash 1 - 50% reduction) the upper branches which are spindly, are prone to wind damage as they now become exposed. At this point the tree is completely hollow like a hosepipe. With the weight above this point it makes the tree unsafe. T1 - Oak T2 - Aspen T3 - Aspen T1 - Oak - reduce by 50%. The tree was a cluster of 4 separate trunks connected just above ground level. One trunk recently broke out leaving the three remaining unstable. A 50% reduction will bring about stability and extend the life of the tree. T2 - Aspen - felling of tee. A major split has occurred at the fork at a height of about 25'. This has rendered the whole of the top half of the tree unstable and liable to fall - especially when new leaf growth occurs. There is no value to retaining the tree as the remainder would be trunk only. T3 - Aspen - felling of tree. The top 50% of the tree has collapsed, at a point of a previous branch loss, and is resting in an adjacent tree. There is no value in retaining the tree as it is trunk only. Remarks:
