Raise canopy to 3m to increase light transmission and enable better access under the tree. 2. Crown thinning (20%) to improve uniform density of foliage around branch structure and to allow more light to pass through the tree.

    Lime tree within G13, Fell to ground level due to recent partial failure of heavily decayed stem (this tree has been monitored over the last 12 years, over which time the internal wood decay has progressed to the point where the tree is now structurally at risk, it is now considered that its removal and replacement is an urgent matter, the tree will be replaced with a heavy standard specimen of Tilia cordata during this current planting season.

Low vigour/crown die-back/moderate deadwood, heavily biased crown and lean to south. Basal stem decay (confirmed by resistograph - see attached survey). Fell to ground level. T36 - Beech - rear garden of Wixley house off Lime Avenue. Mature, 18m high/60cm dbh, low vigour. Collar of small branches/epicormic shoots encircling stem at 5m. Remove epicormic shoots from stem at 5m.
