Proposal

Amenity land between 54 and 60 Valley Road, Henley. There is a copse consisting of Hornbeam, Horse Chestnut, Elm and Sycamore. This request is to carry out work to the one mature Horse Chestnut tree situated at the top of the slope and adjacent to the post and rail fence. The intended works are to: - reduce the height by approx 8-10 metres as a precautionary measure, thus causing a compact crown with minimum crown sail effect yet still keeping the trees micro habitat intact. Please see attached report by Tree World Services, the site was visited by Matt Gulliford November 2014. W1 Woodland mainly consisting of Sycamore, Beech, Hazel and Hornbeam Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage

    There is a copse consisting of Sycamore, Hornbeam, Ash, Hazel, Horse Chestnut and Lime. This request is to fell an ivy clad Ash Tree (T8 on attached plan), at the top of the slope. See attached report & plan. T8 is an Ash tree located towards the top of the amenity area. The tree has an extreme asymmetrical form with defects and cavities. The tree is suppressed by T9. The tree is approx 10m. T8 is marked with an asterix on the attached plan. The work is in addition to application reference 09S117-1943 permission to fell T1 Horse Chestnut.
