  Ash I would like to remove, what I believe to be an Ash tree from the back garden hopefully in the autumn. My back garden is very small and the tree takes up a consierable amount of room as well as blocking out light both for me and the neighbours at the back of me. I purchased the house earlier in the year and I have been told by neighbours at the back that they have been asking the previous owner for many years to cut it back. The fence behind the trunk backs onto a private alleyway and is encroaching into that. My intention is to have raised beds where the trunk is so that I can grow vegetables. I am unable to grow anything in the soil as it is at the moment due to the excessive amount of ivy and the way the soil has been pushed up probably due to the sheer size of the trunk.   T1 Horse Chestnut Twin stemmed from 4 metres Stem overhanging the drive has had a large limb fail due to a poor branch attachment with some decaying material present. The wound has revealed further decay of the stem from where it came. The growth above this wound is significant and very likely to fail at some point but is likely to be extremely vulnerable during weather events as we move into the Autumn / Winter period. We recommend reducing this stem to sound the wood below the damaged and decayed area, and reduce the remainder of tree to the same height by approximately 8 metres.
