Proposal

T1 - Holm Oak T2 - Acer A Holm Oak and an Acer are situated on the applicant's property. Residents of the adjacent property, Temple House, Phyllis Court Drive, have pointed out that a branch of the Oak overhangs the boundary and is encroaching the building of Temple House. The applicant and the tree surgeon Mr Roderick Baird have inspected the site and found that several branches of the Oak, and some branches of the Acer, have grown close to Temple House. The proposed work is therefore to reduce overhangs from both trees at suitable growth points to a distance approximately three metres the Temple House side of the boundary wall with the applicant's property.     Pic 1 & 2 - These trees need to be cut back due to overhanging the drive, the highway, and neighbouring properties. Pic 3 & 4 - The lower limbs of the silver birch have been pruned back as damaged by the high-sided delivery vehicle. We recommend that this tree be removed as it has overgrown its current location and a replacement tree be planted in a more suitable location. Pic 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 & 13 - Removal of the large mature Home oak tree due to its size, location and condition. The tree is showing signs of stress, including weak attachments, inclusive bark and several cavities. There are also several overextended limbs which are applying extra pressure on weak unions. We recommend that this tree be removed as it has overgrown the current location and a replacement tree be planted in a more suitable location. Pic 5, 6 & 10 - We would recommend reducing or removing T1 and T3 as they have both been suppressed by the mature Home Oak. This would allow us to replant trees of suitable size and species to suit the location. If not removed, at a minimum, these trees need to be reduced and balanced to help the crown and future growth.
