Proposal
T54 - Oak - Recommended works: A phased retrenchment pruning programme is recommended for this tree. This comprises a number of gradual reductions to th canopy size and density spread over a number of years. The scale and frequency of these operations very much depends on the trees ability to sustain the treatment and the extent of any furthe degradation of supporting timbe. However, in this instance, the high risk target area calls for as signficant an initial pruning as the tree will tolerate i.e. reduce the lateral spread on the southerly and westerly aspects of the tree canopy by approximately 3.0-4.0m, pruning back to suitable secondary growth. Similarly reduce the remainder of the crown spread and the height bye approximately 1.5-2.0m whilst maintaining good formand creating a more evenly balanced canopy. Thin the density of the remaining canopy by 15% so as to further reduce weight and sail of the tree. T54 Oak Spec: S1 Reduce crown by a maximum of n% and reshape Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Spec: S19 Please add the following at the end of all the aprroved works: All pruning cuts must be made at bra Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management

T25 & T26 - Lawson Cypress Fell to allow construction of a footpath to allow safe passage between the fitness centre/car park and main clubhouse, and to fulfill our duty of care to members, visitors and members of staff. Trees are of low amenity value and would be replaced as marked on the attached plan (replacements suggested as Liquidamber).

T13 - Horse Chestnut located next to riverside path within close proximity to river and private river boats. Large mature tree that has suffered recent major stem failure (now cleared away). Tree seems to have reduced vitality and is showing signs of stress with a sparse upper crown. Lower large sub-stems have been heavily reduced in the past with lower than expected growth. Due to the age and predicted life expectancy, I would suggest felling tree to just above ground level. T13 Horse-Chestnut Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Spec: S20 Quercus robur 10-12cm girth (selected standard) Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R3 Limited safe useful life expectancy Reason: R4 To address potential hazard

Mature Sequoia sempevirens - Recent overnight winds had sadly caused a mature Sequoia sempevirens stem to fail at its bifurcation. This showed some inclusion and interestingly, compression of the remaining stem for around 6.0m above this fork. The remaining stem unfortunately will be compromised now and I believe it should be felled to meet duty of care and replanted. T6 Coast Redwood Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Spec: S20 Coastal Redwood 3m height Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R7 Close to building, services, road or public highway

Wellingtonia from G11 of the TPO - lift crown to a height of 4m above ground level by removing all small branches (less than 150mm diameter) back to source. There are one or two limbs that should be retained that are too large to remove, so on these, the branch tips and secondary branches that hang down are to be removed. Reason: to ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage. The apartments in Molyns House are very dark because of the foliage from this tree blocking light. The requested work will hopefully enable more light to filter through to the rooms adjacent. G1 1 Sycamore, 2 Fir Spec: S1 Lift crown to a height of 4m above ground level by removing branches less than 100mm ... Spec: S19 Please add the following at the end of all the aprroved works: All pruning cuts must be made at bra Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage

Crack Willow (T9) Lift canopy to 4.5m above ground level via removal of epicormic growth. Hybrid Poplar (G3) Reduce back lateral regrowth on north west to just beyond (500mm) previous pruning points over boats. Weeping Willow (G3) pollard back to just above original pollard points leaving 1.0m or younger wood (regrowth). Lombard Poplar - sever ivy leaving 1m clear area of stem. Hybrid Poplar (G3) - prune back 2 x laterals on one stem to just beyond (500mm) previous pruning points to south west over boats.

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
