Proposal
We have small children, and our garden backs onto the local primary school. We want to ensure the safety of our own children, and all the children in the playground which is partly covered by the overhang of our large trees. The trees are also very close to our house, and in particular the horse chestnut is damaging our garage and intrusive on our neighbours. We feel it is vital to carry out the recommended works to prevent further damage to our house or our neighbours house and avoid injury to any children. T2 Horse Chestnut - crown clean to remove deadwood, crossing/rubbing branches. Crown thin by 30% retaining an even density of foliage throughout a well-spaced and balanced branch structure. Remove epicormic growth from main stem. Aerial inspection recommended. Engineer survey recommended if crack increases. T1 Cherry - Crown clean to remove deadwood, weak and crossing branches. T5 Sycamore - Crown clean to remove deadwood, weak and crossing branches. T8 Common Beech - Lift to provide clearance of 5m above ground level by removing branch tips only. Reduce crown height by approximately 2m to remove the "whip" branches at the top of the crown. T9 Norway Maple - Lift to provide clearance of 5m above ground level by removing branch tips only (particularly on school side).Thin crown by a maximum of 30% retaining even foliage throughout a well-spaced and balanced branch structure to enable more light to filter into the property. Prune back to suitable seconary branches to ensure 3m clearance from side of house. T10 Common Beech - Girdle ivy. Lift to provide clearance of 5m above ground level by removing branch tips only on the school side. Crown clean to remove deadwood, weak and crossing branches. T11 Beech - Girdle ivy. Lift to provide clearance of 5m above ground level by removing branch tips only on the school side. Crown clean to remove deadwood, weak and crossing branches.

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
