T2 - Red Horse Chestnut - lift foliage from the lateral branch overhanging the road/driveway to Martins (on the east side of the tree) to a height of 6-7m above ground level by removing branch tips only and pruning back to suitable secondary branches. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junctions leaving sufficient live growth to maintain crown form. Reason: to relieve the oppressiveness felt by the occupier of Martins, who looks out onto this tree from their living room. The foliage from this one branch hangs down and blocks light to this property. T3 - False Acacia - fell to ground level. This tree is at the end of its safe natural life expectancy. There is significant decay under the root plate with little sound wood to sustain the above ground parts of the tree. The tree has suffered historical root severance and damage from construction adjacent to it. The crown is sparse and showing signs of stress. The tree is a potential hazard as it has a poor structural condition. T2 Horse Chestnut Spec: S1 lift branch tips from the lateral branch over hanging the road/driveway (east side of tree) Spec: S19 Please add the following at the end of all the aprroved works: All pruning cuts must be made at bra T3 False Acacia Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Reason: R4 To address potential hazard Reason: R6 Poor health, structural condition of form (delete as appropriate)

T1: Birch: Twin stemmed Birch with a crown break a couple of feet above ground level. This tree has had cobra bracing installed and has previously had a crown reduction undertaken due to the applicants concerns over its safety with its close proximity to their own and neighbouring properties and the high volume of pedestrians who walk past the house particularly during the school pick up and drop off timings. The applicant wishes to reduce the height of the tree by 4 metres, to a point just above the previous pruning points and the lateral branches by up to 1 metre. T2, T3 and T4: Birch: Applicant wishes to carry out a 2m crown reduction of all 3 trees. These trees were planted by the applicant on the basis that they would be maintained as small trees owing to the size of space in this area of the garden and the proximity of buildings.

There are two trees in the front garden Permission is requested to fell both trees. Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it. It is also very close to both houses. Permission is sought to fell this tree.
