Proposal
T1 - Ash Tree T1 - Ash tree. Fell to ground level. This tree divides into several stems from fairly low and is in early maturity. It overhangs the small rear garden of 7 Brook Street and causes excessive shading. It is increasing in size each year and the shading problem will only increase over time. This tree does not have significant amenity value. Mrs Molloy has the support of the neighbouring properties and also the Watlington Fire Station in her wish to remove this tree. Remarks:

T1 - Sycamore T1 - Sycamore - fell due to its excessive height and spread of its branches and roots. The upper branches cover and surround an electrical power line. The roots have caused considerable damage to the lawn, garden path and gate. The tree has previously been reduced in height but this seems to have encouraged its current growth. It is too large for its current position. There are several other trees along the boundary. Remarks:

Overview: Mature group of Beech trees on boundary once a formal hedge that has now lapsed into trees. An attractive street scene setting of high amenity value, their close proximity to each other means the group would benefit from reduction to maintain their current size. Specification: 1. Group of Beech comprised of 5 trees. a. Reduce height of crowns by 2.5m b. Reduce lateral spread by 2m particularly roadside 2. Lawson a. Lift over footpath to maintain statutory clearance.

T1 - Beech T2 - Beech T3 - Beech T4 - Beech T5 - Beech T6 - Beech T7 - Norway Maple This will include felling 2 x Beech trees and management would fit well as one is a mature example with potential defective unions and the second is heavily suppressed with limited long term value. The remaining 4 x are good specimens that would then benefit from pruning works to tidy the inner crown and reduce sail area by up to 2.0m to cope with changes in wind dynamics from the removal of the 2x Beech. The Norway Maple has become very drawn and serves only minor value with the garden. Remove 2 x Beech trees (T2 & T4) felling through rope and harness in sections using aerial rigging, finally felling as close to ground level as possible. Reduce remaining 4 x Beech (T1, T3, T5 and T6) by 2.0m in height and balance sides. Remove 1 x Norway Maple (T7) felling through rope and harness in sections using aerial rigging, finally felling as close to ground level as possible. Remarks:

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
