Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
T1 - Lawson Cypress T2 - Spruce T3 - Spruce T4 - Spruce T5 - Spruce T1 - Lawson Cypress, early mature, deceased, most probably due to anaerobic conditions through regular flooding. Fell. T2 - Spruce - mature, sparse poor canopy showing low vitality. Some suspected adaptive growth (ribs), percussive hammering indicated a possible central core of decay. Fell. T3 - Spruce, mature, sparse poor canopy would appear to be in decline. Fell. T4 - Spruce - mature, collapsed, missing Wallingford Bridge, brown rot present (cubical decay) having aided collapse. Fell. Notes of Spruces, T2, T3 T4: possibly not a traditional riparian species close to the river bank, the general stress potential issues related to structural integrity and a recent collapse, I propose T2, T3 and T4 are felled with the replacement of Alnu glutinosa Laciniata x 3 no. (10-12cm containerised trees) with aftercare to ensure establishment. T5 - Spruce - mature, no works, reinspect 2015, fair average vitality. Remarks: Telephoned Matt & agreed 14 Aug 2015 - "No further obligation to replace trees" Spec: Agreed

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
