Works: Trees
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
T1 Mature Beech tree - the works are all below ground and the intention is to hand dig for all of the drainage works so as to navigate and retain the larger roots. Small roots of up to 40mm diameter may be hand pruned if necessary. The soakaway shall be located outside the root protection area which is some 14.4m away from the tree, being 12 x 1.2m (1.2m being the diameter of the tree). If necessary the soakaway, and proposed catchpit, shall be located further away from large tree roots.
