Planning application
Cemetery High Street Morcott Rutland LE15 9DN
Works: Demolition
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Retrospective reduction in height of cemetery wall which boundaries the closed cemetery and access road from the highway to open section of the cemetery. The condition of the wall had deteriorated significantly and the emergency demolition was to make the wall safe. Height has been reduced to approximately 800 - 1000mm in height, for the entire length. Saddle back coping stones have not been re-instated. Materials have been retained and stored within the closed cemetery section for potential re-use.
