Proposal
T1 (tag no. 2402). Mature Oak with Oak Processionary Moth (OPM). Tenant of no. 3 Rangers Walk is concerned with the health implications of OPM caterpillars nesting in limbs overhanging their front garden entrance. Whilst pheremone traps have been installed within this tree, some reduction of lateral branches away from the property could be carried out to alleviate the issue. - Reduce lateral branches towards property (No. 3 Rangers Walk) by up to 2m in length. This will target tertiary branches only, to a suitable points of pruning. - Lateral growth will be pruned so as to taper into the upper crown to leave a flowing natural looking crown form.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

Pine - Fell & Remove - to ground level, or as close as possible and remove all arisings. Reasons for work as follows: Safety - angle of tree encroaching fencing and house, shedding pine cones etc are sharp ground hazards for children when in garden Space / lighting - the shedding needles etc are preventing grass or anything else from growing in our garden. Would ideally like to plant other tree(s) in the space which are more in keeping with the other trees in the space.

T1 - Birch - fell and stump grind - tree in very poor condition: A large basal cavity extending well into the buttress/root flare. Advanced decay with soft, crumbly wood, likely white rot. Strong callus growth around the wound, showing the tree has been trying to compartmentalise the defect for a while. Epicormic shoots emerging from the base, which can be a stress response. As such the tree is now a likely risk for basal failure. Tree will be replaced with another Birch
