Refused Runnymede RU.24/1303 Trees

Works: Trees

Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.

Proposal

T1- Horse Chestnut in which we hope to reduce for the client as previously done by us to a spec of 3-4m height reduction 2m lateral reduction, removing all epicormic growth below crown break, we wish to undertake this in part of maintenance and to try achieve a more balanced crown as this tree has been used to be part of one large canopy including the previous sister horse chestnut until we removed it, it would also be removing lateral branches from rubbing up against office windows but retaining a beautiful tree.

T1 - Oak at front - fell - tree has Acute Oak Decline (AOD) The tree is in advanced decline, almost dead, due AOD evidenced by weeping exudates on the main stem and progressive and advanced canopy dieback monitored over 5+ years. Structural integrity and vitality are now significantly compromised. Given its proximity to the dwelling and highway (high target occupancy), retention presents an unacceptable foreseeable risk of failure and liability under duty of care obligations. Felling is therefore justified on arboricultural safety grounds.
