Awaiting decision Richmond upon Thames PA26/2803 Works to Tree/s in Conservation Area

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

Large Acer tree in central garden of Ormond Avenue - marked in attached sketch plan and located on the boundary between Vigo House and neighboring Halcyon. After consultation with professional arborist - it is proposed to prune the tree in order to maintain the balance of the crown by reducing it by 20% and back to previous pruning points. The Acer is 7 metres tall, and 6 metres wide and we wish to remove 1 metre from top growth - leaving the tree 6 metres tall after pruning. We would also like to reduce the lateral growth by 1 metre leaving the crown 5 metres wide.
