Planning application

2A Evelyn Road Richmond TW9 2TF

Granted Richmond upon Thames PA26/0771 Works to Tree/s in Conservation Area

Works: Trees Small domestic

Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

A previous approved application stated the tree to be a Swedish Whitebeam (Sorbus Intermedia). This application is being made for permission for complete removal of this tree. The tree is far too big for the area in which it is situated causing the whole garden to be in permanent shadow. The roots are extensive, shallow (above surface) causing trip hazards in the lawn, restricting maintenance of the lawn and damaging equipment. Also, a patio/path has been completely penetrated and broken up by the roots now making this area hazardous and difficult to use. I fear if the tree is left in situ, the roots and the tree will cause damage to the brick shed and adjacent walls.
