T1. Blue Atlas Cedar Rear Garden: The tree is significantly one-sided, largely as a result of a historic limb failure. The two lowest southeast-facing branches now overwhelmingly contribute to the tree's overall balance and visual weight. Recommended Works: Carefully prune the two lowest southeast-facing branches to lighten and thin the canopy. Selectively reduce over-extended growth by up to 2.5m, with further thinning as necessary, to help redistribute weight, improve balance, and enhance the tree's overall aesthetic. The work will also reduce end-weight loading and mitigate risk of further limb failure. Remove dead branches throughout the crown area that are over 2.5cm in diameter, and inspect the crown for any adverse conditions. The tree's current height is 21m, and its crown spread is 15m After the proposed works, the tree's height is 21m, and the crown spread is 15m

Front Garden (Front Boundary) T7: Magnolia tree - Fell to ground level, grind out stump height 4m & spread 4m. Reduce height to 0m & spread to 0m T8: Silver birch tree - Fell to ground level, grind out stump height 5m & spread 3m. Reduce height to 0m & spread to 0m Reason for works: The residents in the house are both over 85 years old. In the spring. the petals of the white magnolia flowers cover the entire front of the house, they are very slippery and a real hazard to the two 85-year-olds. Autumn and Winter present even greater hazard; the leaves ot the Magnolia cover the entire front of the house and being so slippery present a serious danger to the 85-year-olds. The residents find it impossible to clear Magnolia petals and leaves. The residents have in mind to replace the Magnolia with a less hazardous and more decorative plant. The tall Birch tree is now dead and branches are falling off. In summary, the sooner these two trees are cut down the safer it will be for the residents.
