Rear Garden: Robinia 25% Reduction, pruning back branches by 1.5 - 2m. Leaving an even balanced canopy. The Robinia at present is 20m tall / 10m wide. My client would like the regrowth pruned back to the old points, leaving 75cm - 1m lengths of growth from the old points ( the thick bits ) Therefore pruning back the regrowth by 1.5 - 2m. So the overall height of the Robinia will be 18m, with a canopy width of 7.5m Reasons for works: General maintenance, Light issues, Consideration to neighbours.

Tree A: is an overlarge fig, close to our house. Application is to reduce the crown by one third, to tidy up a couple of low branches which now overhang ours and our neighbour's garden, blocking light, in order to keep the tree in a healthy condition and shape. Tree B: is a false acacia which has grown far too tall in its competitive effort to reach the light. Application is to reduce the crown by one third including tidying up some of the lower branches. Tree C: is a hornbeam. Application is to reduce the crown by one third. All three are part of normal maintenance for these trees not least since trees A & B are both, in reality, too large for a garden of our size. We have planted 4 new trees in 2025 which are of a more appropriate size. Tree A - Fig: a 2m crown reduction in width and a 2m reduction in height, leaving a canopy spread of approximately 4m and height of 5m. Tree B - False Acacia: a 2m crown reduction in width and a 2.5m reduction in height, leaving a canopy spread of approximately 4m and height of 6.5m. Tree C - Hornbeam: a 1.5m crown reduction in width and a 2m crown reduction in height leaving a canopy spread of approximately 4m and height of 5.5m.
